I was recently commissioned by fellow Mancunian Naveed Akhtar of Northern Life Records to produce a record sleeve for the labels next release. The format of the album release is cassette and vinyl. 

The album title Sasso ' The place you have always known' first spawned a myriad of ideas for the cover illustration. However I settled on the background of Naveed and how he produces records. The hands depict two meanings. The top a hand cupped, signifying hearing. The bottom, the hand spinning a record. I also wanted to slightly throw the viewer out visually, so it plays with your first initial interpretation of the hands.
