Switchopen have once again been commissioned by the lovely gent John Grant, to produce a limited edition print for his latest London gig at the Royal Albert Hall 15th June 2016.
An insight to the print -
It is always a pleasure to produce art work for John, as it allows me to mix up my illustration style. The music John produces inspires me no end, so this time around, my 12th print, I wanted to mix up the perception of a gig. The ceiling at the hall is a pretty stunning ceiling. It is other worldly, and when illuminated it adds another dimension to the already epic space. This for me was the starting point. I wanted John to be depicted stood in the wilderness, as the music landscape he creates is vast. The light if you look closely isn't light. its a waterfall.
Again with a lot of my prints for John, I like to reference Iceland, and this time around its the great waterfalls that are unique to the country he now resides in. If you are going to the gig, enjoy it!
The A2 (59.4cm x 42 cm) print is a limited edition screen print and will be on sale at the merchandise table at the venue.
I will have a few A/P's for sale from Thursday onwards. If you are interested, please do email me (See profile page for address) and I will put one aside for you.
